Book Which Counters Errors in 'The Da Vinci Code' Receives Official Approval from the Catholic Church

WEST CHESTER, Penn., May 1 /Christian Wire Service/ -- The Catholic Church has given its imprimatur to an American publisher’s book that counters allegations made by The Da Vinci Code, a novel and soon-to-be-released movie. The imprimatur was granted to The Da Vinci Deception: 100 Questions and Answers About the Facts and Fiction of The Da Vinci Code. An official declaration that a literary work is free from errors in Catholic doctrine and morals, the imprimatur was granted by Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, and will appear in all future editions of the book. The 144-page companion guide, published by Ascension Press, is for Catholics and others concerned about the doctrinal and historical misrepresentations about the Catholic Church and Jesus Christ found in The Da Vinci Code.
