Chennai court lifts ban on Da Vinci Code

The Madras High Court has paved the way for screening of the controversial film the Da Vinci Code in Tamil Nadu by quashing a government order suspending its release. Allowing petitions filed by film distributors - Sony Pictures Releasing of India Ltd, Mumbai, and Anuroshi Films, Chennai, Justice Prabha Sridevan directed the city police commissioner to pay Sony Pictures a sum of Rs 15,000.
