Film will be reply to ‘Da Vinci Code’

SOUTH BEND -- NewGroup Media, a South Bend communications company, will produce a documentary based on Dan Brown's best-selling novel "The Da Vinci Code" for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. "Jesus De-coded: Catholic Perspective on the 'Da Vinci Code,' " scheduled to air nationally in April 2006 on NBC -- just before release of the Ron Howard-directed studio film starring Tom Hanks -- will look at the Roman Catholic Church's position on issues raised in the novel.
