Dan Brown stirs discussion

Monsignor Tony Doherty doesn't know whether to bless or curse the author of the best selling novel The Da Vinci Code. On one hand, he says Dan Brown has caused more people to become interested in the church and the scriptures, but on the other hand the author has made factual mistakes. "He makes quite egregious errors which annoy people who have respect for the scripture," he said. "The thesis that Jesus and Mary Magdalene had a child is actually absurd ... but here contrary to all evidence [he says] they have a child and this is a secret held over by wonderful people like Leonardo Da Vinci, Galileo, curators of the Louvre and Walt Disney."
